.. and why do we no get as upset when a butterfly is hurt in the same way? What about those poor slimy toads? They need love too.. don&#039;t they? What makes a furry animal like a dog or cat &quot;better&quot; than a salamander? is that not discrimination?

... and which is more &#039;sacred&#039;? the life of a human or the life of an animal? If we were to take all the money being spent on dogs and cats and divert it to starving humans would the world not be a better place?
